« Hello Fred, can you introduce yourself in a few words ? »

« Hello Laurent !
My name’s Fred Segaud, CEO and founder of cervonline. After a long route as a consultant through quite a few huge companies, I settled at France Telecom at the end of the Internet Bubble to work on the online solutions of that time. One of the great achievements among others was to be the lead on the technical answer for the PMU, for their online bet management solution at FTeBusiness, for which I won a Business Award. After several years of expertise on the services on the web, I ended my career at Orange as Planner on Platform services for enterprises.
As a football fan since my youngest age, I wander in the Football stadiums on many week ends and I am known either from the people of the visitors aeras or from bigger club’s VIP one’s. Also known to be the ultimate fan of the FC Gueugnon, going to almost every outside game, cervonline is about to sign a partnership with the club to manage their online presence !! »

« cervonline means Contents and sERVices ONLINE ...
In a very short period of time, EVERYTHING will be available online, whatever network or device you use ! There are more and more contents and services online and anyone can now spread its own information… However, the complexity and the entropy of the proposed solutions are growing as fast as the information and services are appearing !
cervonline’s mission is to propose simple solutions and crystal clear usage of new services, by integrating them into Business Process Management solutions, through APIs that are getting more and more available online. Thanks to those solutions, our customers will get quick and original new services, allowing them to outshine their confreres and highlight their presence online ! »

« What is the status of your development as today ? »

«In less than a year, we succeeded in developing our 1st integrated service, based on online BPM (in partnership with RunMyProcess) and on the SOAP communication APIs from Orange, recently available online.
This service named SOCCER allows in a few clics, to spread information on the evolution of football games scores, by customizing messages on all the existing networks of communications (Mail, SMS, RSS, voice …). This allows the fans to get the information on a real-time basis. This very simple and effective service has just been rewarded at the best innovations using Orange API Contest. cervonline won THE innovative online service award on the “easy-to-use” category ! As a result the service was presented at the Orange Partner Camp in Florida and was selected to be part of the Orange Collection of 2008 winter !
In 2009, the objective is to take advantage of our partnership with the FC Gueugnon to industrialized this service in order to propose it easily to our prospects (Football clubs, supporter clubs, sponsors …), but also to any football fan who wishes to follow daily the results of his favourite team. In parallel, cervonline’s going to diversify its offer to apply this same service to other sports but also to propose other innovative services for the fans. »

« SUN is currently a major stakeholder on the development of the web, thanks to its software but also thanks to its effective hardware !
For
the coming year and as for many start-ups beginning their activity,
the challenge for cervonline
is to guarantee a quick and effective industrialization to anticipate
the performance and high quality of service of its customers.
Furthermore, cervonline
has to mature its modern, reliable and stable solutions to reassure
its current customers and gain many new ones ! Therefore,
we need to manage huge databases as
well as thousands of processes that must be executed in parallel in a
very short period of time.
The promise of the SSE Program, which consists in supporting us, for a minimum of charge-back, in terms of technical architecture or expertise on software, hardware or hosting, is undisputable to make us gain time and of course money on our future developments.
Finally, the possibility for cervonline to be known worldwide and easily approach the investors networks (for some of them are really aware of the services and technologies in the Silicon Valley), is an extraordinary chance to find the investors that we would need to ensure our company development. »

« In a short-term, we are currently building our 1st round table to help us ensuring our company development for 2009. An investor haunting is being organised at the end of January… Anyone seriously willing to join is more than welcome !!
As I said, during this first months and through our partnership with the FC Gueugnon, the aim is to ensure our first service with enough maturity. Our objective will thus be to have a reliable and effective technical infrastructure for the 2009 summer in order to be ready for the new football season.
The second half of the year will be dedicated to diversify our offer with different sports and propose other services, supported by our technological partners.
We hope this new season will end with good news for cervonline in 2010, with a World Cup that will be held for the first time in South Africa ! »
